Home and School Association

The Home and School Association consists of all parents of the school and is dedicated to raising additional funds for equipment and facilities not covered by the Ministry of Education.

The Association has been very busy over the last 12 months fundraising.  Our recent fundraising has seen the Association being able to purchase a school set of Tokomaru School shirts which are used for outings, sports events and when students represent our school.  These look great and are a wonderful way for our students to stand out and be proud.

Other projects and activities funded by the association have included all students being able to attend the Star Lab, which was kindly brought out by Te Manawa staff, and we also sent a small group of students to the National Young Leaders Conference.

These resources and activities would not have been possible without the support of our entire school community, including committee members past and present, as well as those parents who send back forms for sausage sizzles, pie orders from our pie run, buying calendars and diaries from our recent fundraiser and supporting our Ag and Gala day stall to name but a few.

Our major fundraiser for the year is our Tokomaru Trail Bike Ride.  A huge thank you to all those parents and friends of our school who volunteer on the day.  It is an awesome day and it is great to see so many riders having fun.  A huge thanks to all the land owners who generously open up their land for the trail ride; without these people the trail ride would not be possible.

The Home and School Association meet on the first Thursday of each month at 6.30pm during the term.  We run a laid back meeting in the staffroom and would like to extend a warm welcome to new members.  We would love for new members to come along and share their ideas.  Even if you can only make a couple of meetings a year, we welcome your input and ideas.
